Religion in schools is too important to marginalise
Monsignor Michael Nazir-Ali published this article in the Times at the end of January, in which he urges stronger support for religion-based RE in schools, and rejects the subject’s morphing into a ‘worldviews’ approach as something which does an injustice to religion. He also urges more and better RE to prepare pupils spiritually and to enable them to understand better the world as it is. We are grateful to the Times for allowing us to use the article.
